Fall Retreat has come and gone.  We prepare for months and now it is finished, or is it.  Today I was pondering this fact, the decorations were excellent, the speakers were superb, the food was delicious, and the altar time was phenomenal.  I experienced outstanding girlfriend time.  I laughed, I cried, I talked, I listened.  Fall Retreat was a spiritual high.  Yesterday at church all the women who attended excitedly talked about their experiences.

So why am I now at home and feeling a little lonely and discouraged?  You are probably not like me; sometimes I need God to smack me.  Wisdom is putting what you learned into action.  Yes the event is history, now you have a significant decision.  You can go back to “normal”, or you can forever be changed.

Thought for the Week:  What if everyone who went to the retreat were to take just one action step closer to God?  What if as a Leader, I actively helped the women from my church?  How can I do this?  I take out my notes; highlight the most important point to me in each session.  Then from the highlighted points, narrow down the most vital point or couple of points of the entire weekend.  Then create an action step each day for the next 90 days.

My action steps include getting the women from my church in attendance involved.  How about you what will you really do with the information you received?
