Awesome insight that shows

Awesome insight that shows how an old wound can keep you stuck. It is amazing how we as people think we are "ok" but we hold on to hurts and they fester and actually do turn into D.O.U.B.T. Wow, who wants all that negative stuff dragging them down?!
I thank God for Love Letters To Him. I started my journey through this amazing book well over a year ago and the Lord was able to gently search into the deep areas of my heart where I was severely injured. He began to speak to me, love me, listen to me and heal me in a way I never knew possible. It set me free from deep hurts that were more than 20 years old! I was no longer bound by DEPRESSION because I had 2 abortions when I was a teenager. I was no longer OBSESSED with the thoughts that I would never be forgiven because of my promiscuous past as a young woman. I no longer felt UGLY on the outside or the inside because God showed me my true beauty. I was no longer BITTER at the people who hurt me throughout my life! Finally, I was no longer TEMPTED to believe the lie that I am not worthy of GOD'S love because of my sorted past! Talk about being free! I thank you for reminding me again that God is the answer to all my "gloomy days" and he provides love, joy, healing, forgiveness and hope! I look forward to many more Son filled days!

What would you say if an

What would you say if an experience that marked your past (just as an example, homosexual experience) and you don't live that lifestyle but once in a while you doubt whether you're being faithful to your partner and God when you remember these old memories. And if so, what to do when these memories come up?

One thing you want to

One thing you want to remember is Phil 3:13 "I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead." God has put those things in the sea of forgetfulness. It is our enemy Satan that is the father of lies; he wants to kill, steal and destroy the promise of God's everlasting and unconditional love for YOU! Resist the enemy and he will flee from you. Quote God's word. Wash that memory (EVERYTIME & don't think on it) with the cleansing power of His Spirt. When he lies, you tell him the Truth of who God says you are. God's word builds our confidence in the battlefield of the mind!
