If you love a good mystery, you'll love this book. Without a Trace is set in the small town of Rock Harbor in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Bree Nichols and her search-and-rescue dog, Samson, spend hours scouring the wilderness to locate the remains of a plane crash involving her son and husband. Samson is really the hero in this book and the three subsequent books of the Rock Harbor series. Each one is full of intrigue, romance, and an amazing look at the skill of search-and-rescue dogs and their trainers. You'll be in suspense up to the very end. (Unless, of course, you are a better detective than me.)
