Devotional
Good will come to him who is generous and lends freely, who conducts his affairs with justice. Surely he will never be shaken; a righteous man will be remembered forever. He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
Psalm 112:5-7
My Dear Child,
Are you afraid of receiving bad news today? Or do you live in a constant state of fear, wondering what bad thing will happen next? If you don't like to listen to the news for fear of what you will hear, or don't go to doctors because you are afraid of what you might be told, then I have something to tell you. I am in control, and you can trust me with not only your personal well-being, but also the happenings in the world around you.
When your heart is steadfast and your focus is firmly on me, you are showing that you trust Me. Scripture says about Jesus that the government is on His shoulders...not yours, and not your political party, and not your elected leaders.
If you have children, you do not want them to worry every month, wondering if you will be able to pay the rent or the mortgage payment or purchase necessities. So many things are out of their realm of control. They were never meant to take on that responsibility and that worry. This is a picture of what I desire for you. You are my child, and I have everything under control. Just keep trusting Me.
So keep on praying for world situations, but do not live in fear and trepidation. Go to the doctor and have that physical. By trusting Me, your heart will be steadfast. That is the way I intend for you to live, with a peaceful heart.
