When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other.
Ecclesiastes 7:14
My Dear Child,
Are you ever tempted to think that whatever you are going through presently, be it good times or bad, will never end, that it is a permanent situation? If you look back over the course of your life, you will probably notice that neither good times nor bad last forever.
In which of these, do you think you have learned the most? Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, said it is better to go to a house of mourning than a house of feasting. You might not feel that way, because a house of feasting is fun, a house of feasting is joy-filled, and in a house of feasting there is nothing negative even talked about.
But you learn more of Me and My ways in these stations of life. It is when you are in mourning that you seek Me in the morning, in the evening, and all day long.
Ask anyone who is mature in their faith when it is they grew the most, and they will tell you it was in times of affliction, illness and poverty. You see, it is only when you are stripped of your own resources that you learn to lean completely on me. And that is what I desire of you every day.
Whether you are experiencing good times or bad, the invitation is always open: Enter in, my child. Enter into the Holy of Holies.
Your Loving Father,
God
