Opening our Eyes

The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone.  Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing.  So they led him by the hand into Damascus.

Acts 9:7-8

My Dear Child,
Have you noticed how Scriptures that you have heard all your life suddenly have so much more meaning and application now that you are a member of My family?  Verses seem to "jump out" at you, and you perceive they have your name written all over them.  They explain not only where you've been, but where you are right now, and also expound on where you are going if you stay on the right path and also where you will be headed if you go astray.
Though your physical eyes were open when you would read the Word before, and though you had an adequate vocabulary to know what all the words meant, they were just words on a page, just so much information.  It was as if you were blind to their meaning.
But perhaps someone took you by the hand and began leading you to a place where you found yourself wanting to do business with Me.  Or perhaps you came into possession of a Bible and began searching for real meaning, being persuaded that there had to be more to "religion" than traditions and practices.  And after calling on My Name, it was as if the scales came off your eyes and you were suddenly able to see truth so clearly.
That is the way it works.  My Holy Spirit is the one who gives you spiritual insight.  One day you are blind, and the next you can see.
Now that you have this type of spiritual vision, I want to ask you something:  Is there someone that you know who is spiritually blind who you need to take by the hand and lead them to a place of conviction, where they are ready to surrender to me and my will?  Or is there a new believer who you can share some of the riches of Scripture with?  I do not give insight and wisdom merely for your own personal edification.  It is for you to share.
Freely you have received, now freely give!

Your Heavenly Father,
God
