Trusting God

Devotional Story

I love answered prayer requests.  I have had an outstanding prayer request with God for a couple of years now and I can say it has been answered.  Due to the nature of the request, I can't share the details with you, but I am rejoicing!!  It is amazing to me how the timing on the answer is always key.  I don't know if you are at all like me, but I don't understand why sometime I have to wait for my requests to be answered.  However, I do know when they are who to praise and I am full of praise!

Thought for the week - It's easy to trust God when prayers are answered and we see things being done.  It is harder to believe when day after day you don't see anything happening.  This is where the trust comes in.  What are you trusting God for today?  Are you willing to trust Him for years with out an answer.  God has His own time frame.  I don't understand it, but I give it all I have to trust Him with it.  (I do have to admit) sometime I complain to Him about His lack of urgency, but I always go back to believing He knows what is best for me, my family, friends and loved ones.

Prayer - I will trust you Lord, in the silence, in the darkness, in the desert, in the storm, in whatever I find myself in.  I know you will never leave me or forsake me.

Scripture:

Proverbs 18:24

One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Challenge

Trust God until you reach the end, then trust some more.
