Tanya McKinley did not grow up in the church and struggled with feelings of shame and worthlessness. In coming to faith as a teenager, she was deeply impacted by how the church welcomed her and youth pastors discipled her. Since coming to know the Lord, she has always prayed, “God, I will go wherever you want me to go, and I will do whatever you want me to do.”
Tanya and her husband, Luke, have had missions in their hearts since before they even met. The couple are both credentialed ministers with the Assemblies of God and have served together in numerous ministry capacities since their marriage. In 2014, the McKinleys moved to Tallinn, Estonia, to assist with planting Focus Church. In 2017, God opened the door for their family to move to Vilnius, Lithuania, and be part of establishing another life-giving, reproducible church, as well as a church-planting multiplication network in the Baltics (Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania).
Along with her love for all areas of church ministry, Tanya enjoys bike riding, baking, singing, reading, and is passionate about her role as a mom to their three children, Morgan, Isabelle, and Ethan.
