Born in Starkville, Mississippi, Jasmine Murray grew up in a single parent household as the youngest of five children. Her love for music began at an early age…from singing along with the car radio to giving mini-concerts at home to singing in church choir. After being a Top 13 finalist on American Idol Season 8, God began opening up doors like never before – including singing for the President at the National Prayer Breakfast, and performing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Live! with Regis & Kelly. Jasmine was crowned Miss Mississippi in 2014, and finished in the Top 10 at Miss America 2015.
