Childbirth morphs the body in unimaginable ways, but doesn't make us automatically mature.

I remember as a teenager I showed the first signs of being an exhibitionist. Well, at least I was to my sister. Standing in the backyard, I called her to her second-floor bedroom window and proceeded to flash her a full frontal, raising my shirt as high as it would go and grabbing my bra along with it.

What mom doesn't multi-task morning showers and Pop-tarts?

A phrase my pastor used to frequently use was “we need childlike faith" to approach God. (Matt. 18:3) I knew there was a difference between the word "childish" and "childlike," but I always assumed the latter referred to us accepting truths about our faith blindly. After all, children only know what they're taught, right?

Don't tell me you never hid from the cops out in the corn...?! You must not be a redneck.

Back in high school, there was a certain rite of passage that kids in my neck of the woods seemed to cherish. They would have loud, obnoxious, alcohol-fueled parties, and then they would run into the nearby cornfields to hide when the cops showed up to bust the party.
