Have you seen Him too?

I’ve seen Him several times lately. Jesus, that is.

He doesn’t look anything like I imagined He would. Without question, His disguise disarms me at first, making me think there’s no way on earth it could be Him. After all, this person who is so full of kindness, joy or love has flesh and blood! He's right in front of me. If I were to reach out, I could TOUCH Him.

Ever feel tossed around in the storms of life? If you have, you're not alone.

Conventional wisdom tells us that we should know how to handle the problems in our lives better than anyone else. We’re told to follow our hearts, follow our dreams, and to do what feels good to us at the moment. However, the problem with that line of thinking is simply that it leaves out one important factor… or I should say, the only factor that really matters.

Realizing you can't do it on your own is the best place to be

It’s 3:50 A.M. and once again my mind whirls like tiny dirt devils whisking up thoughts, cares, and worries for the day. I am a human being faced with challenges, ideas, and life.

There are many times when I sit and stare blankly at my computer screen. “What should I write today, Father?” is the prayer bouncing around inside my head. Nothing comes.
