God wants to make a few adjustments in our lives to give us the BEST He has to offer us.

This is a great time to pause and reflect, to wonder and to wait, to ponder and to pray. God has some very personal and specific words to share with you and me. He is ready to help us make a few adjustments in our lives.

Has God put a promise in your heart? Is He leading you someplace new and out of your realm of comfort and control? Follow Him there.

Has God put a promise in your heart? Is He leading you some place new and out of your realm of comfort and control? I pray you'll follow Him there. But first, wait on Him. Get your marching orders from Him. Seek wise counsel and confirmation from His Word.

Are fear and self-awareness getting in where faith and God-awareness once reigned?

You'd think I would know by now not to allow myself any deep introspection on Mondays. Let me explain. During the fall and spring seasons I do a lot of speaking on the weekends. And really, I've learned - for the most part - not to look inward too much on Mondays.

The Lord of mercy follows us, covering our (repented of) missteps and mistakes with His grace. He picks up the broken pieces of our lives and makes a beautiful collage of redemption.

A couple of months ago I was praying my way through the 23rd Psalm, and you know how this happens, a certain verse came off the page and begged for a deeper look. Here's the verse:

Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever (v.26).

We recently bought a six-month-old rescue puppy from the Humane Society. He is a strong-muscle-bound dog. When we go for a walk, I have a firm grip on the leash.
