What kind of changes are you looking for in your life and relationships?  Do you need a new job or maybe a new attitude?  Do you wish you were more content?  Do you want to improve a relationship?  Would you like to be able to speak life and encouragement to people you live or cross paths with?

Consider this verse from 2 Corinthians 4:7: But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all surpassing power is from God and not from us.

Let’s look closer at the opening three words – But I have.  Paul wrote this verse and he’s painting the picture of someone who has something in her possession because it rightfully belongs to her and she has the right to keep it.

Remember:  WE hold and possess as our very own, the power and presence of God in our lives.

WOW!  I guarantee that if you get a revelation of what that really means in your life it will change the way you live, talk, your attitude, your determination, and your purpose.

Now let’s look at the next few words – this treasure in a jar of clay.  The word treasure means a place of safekeeping where riches and fortunes are kept.  And a jar of clay represents substandard pottery.  Paul again is painting a picture of contrast through the specific words he is using.  The location of the secret chamber where God has placed His greatest treasure is YOU.

Remember:  You are valuable and precious in God’s sight.  You are the treasury where God has placed His power.

You might not feel strong today or ready to conquer the world.  I’ve been there and that’s why I love the last part of this verse – to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from me.  I do not have to stay contained or defeated in any circumstance because God has decided to place His explosive power and strength inside of me.  Face the challenge of today head-on knowing that it’s His power and not your own strength.

Remember: residing within you is enough power and answers to change your life.
