Watching the world news this week has been heart-wrenching as we saw pictures of men, women, and children die from a chemical attack on their town in Syria. With retaliation by our country last night, our hearts are grieving even more at a world-wide situation that can seem out-of-control.

As I was making my breakfast this morning, I was listening and worshipping with the Hillsong new album – Let There Be Light. This phrase in the song Behold sent my praise soaring:

Watch as the clouds He rides swing low
Lift up the sound
As He makes our praise His throne

My Victorious King Jesus rides in a chariot made from clouds, and flies upon the wings of the wind. (Psalm 104:3) And as I lift up praise, sing with all my heart, give a shout-out to God, and lift my heart toward heaven with prayer for the nations – He swings low and makes my praise His throne!

So be encouraged, my friends. Be a part of what is happening today in our country, and the world, by lifting your eyes toward the clouds and lifting prayer and praise heavenward.

Let all that I am praise the Lord.

O Lord my God, how great you are!
You are robed with honor and majesty.
You are dressed in a robe of light.
You stretch out the starry curtain of the heavens;
you lay out the rafters of your home in the rain clouds.
You make the clouds your chariot;
you ride upon the wings of the wind. . .

May the glory of the Lord continue forever!
The Lord takes pleasure in all he has made!

The earth trembles at his glance;
the mountains smoke at his touch.

I will sing to the Lord as long as I live.
I will praise my God to my last breath!

Psalm 104: 1-3, 31-33 NLT
