“David said to Saul, ‘Let no one lose heart on account of the Philistine; your servant will go and fight him.’ Saul replied, ‘You are not able to go out against the Philistine and fight him; you are only a boy and he has been fighting men from his youth.’

But David said to Saul, ‘Your servant has been keeping his fathers sheep. When a lion or bear came and carried off a sheep, I went after it and struck it and rescued the sheep from his mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it, and killed both the lion and the bear. Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defiled the armies of the living God. The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of the Philistine.’” I Samuel 17:32-37.

MEMORIES – what marvelous gifts from God – to remember your past, to remember specific times when God was there for you. He was faithful then and we can be confident that He will be faithful now. The same yesterday, today and forever. What do you need faith for today? Where do your doubts lie?

Stand firm on His promises. Remember the time He gave you courage in the past. Remember when He healed your broken body. Remember when He sent a friend at the perfect time with the perfect words of encouragement. Remember the answers that came so clearly when a decision needed to be made. Remember when the house sold on that final day when time was running out. Remember when the call came and the perfect job was waiting for you. He was with you in the past and He will be with you today. Trust Him.  Have faith. Trust Him and REMEMBER!
