Joy, what does this word mean?  Webster tells us joy is:

1 a : the emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune or by the prospect of possessing what one desires : Delight  b : the expression or exhibition of such emotion: Gaiety
2 : a state of happiness or felicity : Bliss
3 : a source or cause of delight

Women today in increasing numbers face depression.  As Christians having our lives centered in God, means we should feel a sense of well-being, success or good fortune.  When I look to God to be the center of my life I can honestly see this truth.  God is a source or a cause in my life bringing me delight.

God brings joy to me when he comes.  I am the one to let him into my life.  I find it almost comical the areas of my life I try to control on my own without letting God in, are the areas I tend to find the most frustration, or should I say the least amount of Joy.

Thought for the Week:  Do I always feel this joy?  The answer is no.  However, I find when I focus on negatives, I seem to receive more negative consequences.  It is like a magnet a negative collector around me dumps negative into my life.  Conversely, when I CHOSE to focus on the good in spite of my feelings, positives pop up.  I seem to not care so much about the negative.  God gives me and you the power to take every thought into captivity.  It is a choice!
